INTRODUCTION :
   The given exercise is to design a PRIMARY SCHOOL to create a functional and lively environment in which the young minds would be nurtured.
AIM :
To graduate the student further on design of Single level planning in small scale, small span, lighting, ventilation, fire safety, security, water supply, sewage disposal, horizontal movement and simple vertical movement .Concepts and presentation of design with scaled models.

OBJECTIVE :

    To make the students gain more knowledge about the design strategies involved in the design of an institutional building and to make them aware of the complexity, functioning and salient features of the design project through organizing field visit, train them to document and present the findings. – Data collection with respect to design and detailing for physically handicapped persons.

• Provide adequate space for circulation inside the building
• Any other facility that may be required for a school may be added.

The remaining percentage of spaces under each department is meant for circulation, amenities and other needed facilities

The site  experiences a tropical savanna climate . And due to its high elevation, the local area enjoys a more moderate climate throughout the year, with has a blown of occasional heat waves.

     The coolest month is January of  17.1 °C & the hottest month is April of 33.6 °C. Winter  rarely drop below 12 °C, and summer  seldom exceed 36 °C.

RAINFALL :

      The site  receives rainfall from both the NE and SW monsoons. The summer heat is moderated by fairly  thunderstorms but no flooding. Humidity is 31% and AVE rainfall is 84 cm.


CONCEPT ::  SUSTAINABLE ARCHITECTURE :
Sustainable architecture is a term that describes environmentally  design techniques in  architecture field.  sustainable architecture seeks to minimize the negative environmental impact of buildings by enhancing efficiency and moderation in the use of materials, energy, and development space. The idea of sustainability, or ecological design, is to ensure that our actions and decisions today do not inhibit the opportunities of future generations.The term can be used to describe an energy and ecologically conscious approach to the design of the built environment.

CLIMATIC ANALYSIS

ONSITE FEATURE :

             THE PROPOSED SITE IS A COUNTOUR SITE IN WHICH IT HAS A ROCK OF 0.15 ACRE AREA , THIS ROCK ACT AS A BARRIER FOR SW-MOONSOON WINDS AND SO NO PLACEMENT OF BLOCKS ARE POSSIBLE TO PLACE ON THE SIDES OF THE ROCK .
